This week L.E.N.S. Photo Challenge is something with “Red, White and Blue”. As I was going through my pictures, I found 2 that I though fit the description. They are both from the Veteran’s dinner that our family participated in.
I had to take a picture of this cake. It is beautifully done in red, white and blue frosting.
This picture is of my son (2nd on left) and other members of the Civil Air Patrol unit he is part of. They presented the flag at the beginning of the dinner for the veterans.
I have seen him do this many times and it never gets old seeing him treat the flag with the honor and respect it deserves.

Be sure to stop by and visit the L.E.N.S Photo Challenge this week. I have already seen some of the pictures and they are wonderful.
Those are both great pictures for this challenge! I love the one you chose, I'm sure you are very proud of your son!
great pictures Joy! American pride!!
My dad was in the military when I was growing up, and I always loved the format of opening ceremonies or any ceremonies for that matter. So great that CAP brings that into the experience as well. We are keeping CAP in mind for our boys when they are older. 🙂
Joy, what a worthwhile lesson your son will carry with him! I love seeing your children learn to honor our nation! Excellent selections! 🙂
Great pics, my sons were in the young marines but we had an issue with the lack of adult morals and supervision, we actually just got the contact info for CAP here and are going to be looking into it this week, Great job to your son!!
