But who can find a faithful man?
We had friends to come and stay with us for a couple of days. Friends that we have known for 15 years. What a wonderful couple and great kids that they have. We loved having them to visit and only wished that they could have stayed longer.
Friday, after the kids had played together for a bit, we went for a ride on the Blue Ridge Parkway to a place called Waterrock Knob. They have a trail that you can hike up to the top of the mountain. The sign says that it is only a 1/2 mile from the bottom to the top. Oh. My. Goodness. What a trek it was! The kids were troupers and wanted to race to the top! However, the adults needed to take a slower pace. It was a wonderful trail and we were able to take some gorgeous pictures.
I am so glad that we got to visit with the Warren family. They are truly a joy to be around. I can’t wait until we are able to see them again.
I am posting a few pictures from our adventure. Enjoy!!
Beautiful pictures! We went up your mountains last year in early November and loved our time up there! We hiked up a "short" trail to a waterfall…it took forever, but we made it. 🙂
I talked to the park rangers when we were there last time…she said it is equivalant to a three mile flat hike! So, you walked six miles! 🙂 It was nice to meet you! Your pictures are beautiful. It is neat how God puts bloggers everywhere, isn't it. :0
