**Update: Ticia was chosen at the winner of the “Sunflowers/Van Gogh art DVD!
I am so excited about this giveaway from See The Light. A couple of weeks ago, I had posted a review of the “Van Gogh and Sunflowers” project that See The Light had just made. We had been the to Van Gogh exhibit at our local Art Museum and the owner of See The Light thought my oldest daughter would enjoy it. She was absolutely right!
My oldest daughter LOVED the project and I think did an amazing job on it. Now, you have a chance to win the Van Gogh- Sunflowers project dvd. See The Light has graciously offered one of my readers a chance to win this project DVD that is just now coming to their website! All you have to do is just leave me a comment and tell me your favoirte Van Gogh painting. Do you love his Sunflowers paintings? Or how about Starry Nights? Do you like another artist? I can’t wait to see your answers!
The giveaway will be open until March 3oth!
disclaimer: I was given the art dvd to do a review. See The Light is giving the dvd away. No other compesation was given. All opinions and thoughts were my own.
I don’t know much about Van Gogh. I think of Starry Night, one ear and blue when I see the name. And I was yet surprised that he has thousands of works. Nature and life- any kind it seems- were of interest to him. We had a chance to see model homes of artists at the Dallas Arboretum. My favorite was the Monet House. But I recall the sense of intensity I had at the Van Gogh house. And of the few pieces I’ve seen, Starry Night is the most representative of the seemingly diverse and passionate artist Van Gogh. And for now, it is my favorite. 🙂
Crystal, if you read up on Van Gogh, you will find he painted Starry Nights while in a mental hospital. He was a brillant artist. He just had mental issues he could not overcome.
I’ve always been fond of Starry Night myself. Van Gogh has been one of my favorite artists since I was a teenager and read his “Dear Theo” collection of letters.
I have always love the sunflowers!
I’ve always loved Starry Night and Van Gogh’s Chair. Definitely my favourite artist.
I like his “landscaped with ploughed fields picture.” There are so many good ones though.
My favorite is Starry Night Over the Rhone which has really beautiful reflecting lights in the water
I actually really like Starry Night Over the Rhone. 🙂
I really like Sunflowers just because of the Doctor Who episode featuring Van Gogh. It made me cry.
Of course the Sunflowers are beautiful, but I really love the Blossoming Almond Tree.
Starry Night!
I really love the Sunflowers painting!
Starry Night has always been my favorite.
I like Starry Night and Sunflowers.
I love the Sunflowers painting! I also love L’eglise d’Auvers.
The Church at Auvers – beautiful!
I’ve seen many of his paintings – not in person, mind you, but “vies many. I would have to still say that Mandorlo in Fiore is one of my favorites. So delicate yet alive!
The Mulberry Tree in Autumn would be my favorite . . . I would like to learn to paint it!!
We had the priviledge of seeing the originial Sunflower painting of Van Gogh while on a trip to London last fall. While at the National Gallery gift shop. I bought a mug with the Sunflower painting on it to remind me of our trip (and I use it every morning). I enjoy Josh Groben’s rendition of the song Starry Night about Vincent.
love this and one of my fav flower is the sunflower and right now in social studies we are studying Holland and will be learning about Van Gogh and Starry night
would love to win this
I really like the Red Vineyard. The colors please my eye. 🙂
I love Road with Cypress and Star and Starry Night.
I like Starry Night and Sunflowers but the two that evoke an emotional connection are of mothers. Her husband is out to sea is the one where she is asleep by the fire holding the child, so familiar. And there is a mother and child sketch of an older mother holing an older child. We continue to hold them all our lives no matter how big.
Mine is sunflowers but my daughters is starry night. kbalman@gmail.com
I’ts beautiful! Well done! I really love it, but also starry night :0) l
Sarah did a great job!
I actually like the Vase with Cornflowers and Poppies. I love that it’s red, white, and blue.
Sunflowers
I really like both Starry Night and Sunflowers!
I know it’s cheesy, but I love Starry Night, it’s so pretty.
I love Starry Night.
Starry Night is my fave.
Starry Night. We were given a canvas reproduction as a wedding gift; Alex and I enjoy pondering it. 🙂
I have to say Sunflowers is my favorite, because sunflowers were our wedding flowers. I think my son would say Starry Night is his favorite.
Almond Branches in Bloom and Woods and Undergrowth are my favorites, although I love Starry Night and the Chair. I love the vibrant blue behind the Almond blossoms, and the Woods painting is like the perfect moment on a hike in the woods, peak of summer, when the sun shines through branches a certain way, and the scene seems to come alive in an additional dimension of reality. I love it. Have you heard that beautiful song about VanGogh by Don McLean, called “Starry Night”?
