I thought this would be fun to take part in since I was not able to go to Blissdom. Of course I have never been to a blogging conference and not for sure if I ever will be able to go to one.
I have seen others telling a little bit about themselves and figured I would do the same, so here goes.
My name is Joy and I live in Sylva, NC, right next to the Great Smokies. I have a wonderful husband (married 18 1/2 years) and 4 great children (18, 13,6 and 5). We moved to the mountains 6 years ago and I don’t regret it one bit.
We have been homeschooling our children for 8 years. Homeschooling has brought us so much closer as a family. I am leader of a wonderful homeschool group here in our area. The families in our group have become a part of our family.
I love to read and have an have recently just joined a book club for moms. I am so excited about this. I enjoy scrap booking, making crafts/cards/stampin’ up. I love to bake and cook for family and friends and sharing the recipes of my dad and grandma.
I started this blog in 2008, but didn’t get really serious about it until this past year. During this time, I have met many wonderful bloggers who have been such an encouragement to me Blogging has opened up a new window for me to be able to share my faith and love of Jesus.
I am a contributor to Seeds of Faith and Hip Homeschool Moms. I enjoy every chance I get to help others love Jesus and to help and encourage homeschoolers in their journey.
I love the Lord and loving the life that HE has given me.
I am looking forward to getting to know even more bloggers during this Blizzard Bloghop!
Hi Joy! Coming to visit from the bloghop. I live in TN and love to come to the Smokies! So jealous you actually get to live there. 😉 I love Stampin' Up and card making/crafting myself.
Take care.
Love reading about you and your family! 😀 So glad for HHM & Seeds connecting us over this last year!
It sounds like we have a lot of interests in common. I'm not a homeschooler but I have so much respect for those of you who do. Thanks for welcoming us to your corner of the web!
I don't think I've ever been to NC. My brother is there, or was there, for basic training. So glad God gave you the ability to homeschool. Was NOT in the cards for me. I have 4 kids as well. Oldest is 19 and youngest is 7.

Hi Joy. Met you through the bloghop. Read your profile and we have a lot in common (except I live in the Caribbean and homeschooling isn't an option here) My guilty pleasure is historical romances too. I have to admit since I started blogging, most of the reading I do now is online 😉 I do envy you the gorgeous scenery you have.
Stop by my blog sometime. So great to meet other homemaker moms.
God Bless!
So nice to 'meet' you!
I am a stay at home mom with 2 little ones. Homeschooling is something we have considered for the future, due to our son's medical issues, so I am always looking for home school mom blogs!
the NC thing caught my eye, my inlaws live there an di love that part of the country. What a great family and I know youare a busy momma. glad I stopped by.
Hey, following you from the Blizzard Blog Hop. I go to Sylva all the time–I live 2 towns over. Small world we live in…

We live in Robbinsville.
That would be cool. We love Sylva. When I was in college, we tried to move there several times. It was obvious that God wasn't in it, though. We really like to go to Nick and Nate's. That is such a neat restaurant–and of course McDonald's is a draw for the kids-even without the playground.
found ya via a blog hop. following you now! :)wont you stop on over to my blog too and comment to help me build my numbers? (& follow me too!) I have lots of great giveaways all the time, right now, 12 active ones!
Low entries too! Some VERY low entries!
I'm a sahm navy wife of a submariner man.

I speak my mind,
I blog about our life when I have the time, so anyway that's it. Cute blog!
