First and foremost, I am a Christian.  Jesus is my Lord and Savior and I do my best to live my life for him.  I am a stay at home mom, who homeschools her children.  I am blessed to have married my high school sweetheart and we have 4 wonderful children.  We are now living in Golden, Colorado.

We started homeschooling our children 10 years ago and it has been the best decision for our family.  It had brought us so much closer together, but most importantly, closer to God.

I love to read, write, bake, hike the mountains and spend a lot of time with my family. I am a past leader of a homeschool support group. I have also organized the science and international fairs. I love to help and encourage new and seasoned homeschoolers in their journey of teaching their children from home.

I am also blessed to be able to write for The Homeschool Village, once a month.  I am also a past contributor to the Seeds of Faith Women website.

I started this little blog for family and friends to keep up with us when we moved away from home.  It has since turned in to a way I can help and encourage others, as well as given me an opportunity to meet so many wonderful people.  I truly am excited to what God has in store for me and my little blog, A Journey of Joy!
