Psalm 100

A Psalm for giving thanks.

1 Make a joyful noise to the LORD, all the earth!

2 Serve the LORD with gladness!
Come into his presence with singing!

3Know that the LORD, he is God!
It is he who made us, and we are his;[a]
we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.

4 Enter his gates with thanksgiving,
and his courts with praise!
Give thanks to him; bless his name!

5 For the LORD is good;
his steadfast love endures forever,
and his faithfulness to all generations.

I look forward every week for this time.  The time I share my blessings that God has given me.  He has been so good to me.  Even when my days have not gone the way I think they should have, they have gone the way God wanted them to go.  Even through trials, you can find blessings.  I am just so thankful that we have a loving and giving God, as well as a just God.
546.  Even though my hubby was sick last week, he presence in the home truly helped me have a better week.
547.  My husband helping me, by helping the kids if I was busy with another.
548.  My husband helping me cook supper, even though he was not feeling well.
549.  My husband watching the younger kids while I took my oldest daughter to musical theater.
550.  The children helping me without being told what to do.
551.  Grandparents make it safely to NC for Thanksgiving.
552.  Being able to eat out with family.
553.  Clothing being given to the kids.
554.  A gallon of pecans with a request from Papa to bake him a pecan pie.
555.  A dinner with the whole family around the table.
556.  New tires on our van.
557.  Neighborhood kids who love to come and play with my children.
558.  Friends who believe in prayer.
559.  Friends who call or e-mail to see how I am doing.
560.  Being able to witness 3 baptisms at our church on Sunday morning.  It was a great day for Jesus!
I hope you will join us by taking part in counting your gifts and by visiting A Holy Experience!

Psalm 92

1 It is good to give thanks to the LORD,
to sing praises to your name, O Most High;
2to declare your steadfast love in the morning,
and your faithfulness by night,
3to the music of the lute and the harp,
to the melody of the lyre.
4For you, O LORD, have made me glad by your work;
at the works of your hands I sing for joy.

Sumerian Tablets

Sumerian Tablets

Life has been so busy that I am just now getting around to posting what the little ones learned in History 2 weeks ago! We were talking about the Sumerians and made Sumerian tablets. Did you know that the Sumerian alphabet has 600 letters? They made schools just for people to learn the alphabet! The kids had a blast making the tablets and even the older sibling got involved helping the younger ones.  As you can tell, we are still loving Mystery of History!

We used the Salt Dough recipe that we used for the last project, instead of polymer clay.

You can find that recipe HERE.

Both of the kids designed their own tablets.  Samuel chose his name and a smiley face.  Older sister, enjoyed writing on the tablet for them.

Claire also chose her name and then decided to poke holes all around the tablet.  An original design as well. 🙂

  Like I said before, we are loving Mystery of History and really thank them a lot for allowing us the opportunity to use their curriculum.  I am looking forward to using more of Bright Ideas Press curriculum!

p.s.  I apologize for the poor pictures.  I am still learning to take pictures inside!
