Psalm 47
1 Oh, clap your hands, all you peoples!
Shout to God with the voice of triumph!
2 For the LORD Most High is awesome;
He is a great King over all the earth.
3 He will subdue the peoples under us,
And the nations under our feet.
4 He will choose our inheritance for us,
The excellence of Jacob whom He loves. Selah

5 God has gone up with a shout,
The LORD with the sound of a trumpet.
6 Sing praises to God, sing praises!
Sing praises to our King, sing praises!
7 For God is the King of all the earth;
Sing praises with understanding.

8 God reigns over the nations;
God sits on His holy throne.
9 The princes of the people have gathered together,
The people of the God of Abraham.
For the shields of the earth belong to God;
He is greatly exalted.

Multitude Monday- Blessings #276-285

Multitude Monday- Blessings #276-285

God has truly blessed my family and I.  I just don’t know where I would be without Jesus in my life.I truly enjoy being able to sit down every week to list what I am so thankful for.  Won’t you join in with me?

276.  The little things that my hubby does for me.  like hanging up the maps we use for school.

277.  My hubby cooking meals when I do not feel well in the evenings.

278.  My wonderful hubby telling me to go rest and take a nap and he will take care of the kids and house.

279.  Celebrating my youngest daughter’s 5th birthday.

280.  Taking her for her well check up and getting a healthy report.

281.  My children’s laughter as they play with one another.

282.  Seeing my oldest, who is 18 play with his younger siblings.

283.  People telling me how well behaved and sweet my children are.

284.  Being able to fellowship with others.

285.  Listening to our pastor preach the word of God.  I truly love our church that we are a part of.

You can also take part in the Multitude Monday by visiting A Holy Experience.  What are you thankful for or what blessings have you received this week?  I would love to hear them!

Homeschool Mother’s Journal

Homeschool Mother’s Journal

I am linking up with Sue over at The Homeschool Chick.  She started this great link-up about what we did during our homeschool week.  Homeschool Mother’s journal is an awesome way of remembering how our week of homeschooling went.

In my life this week…
This week I worked on The Case of the Missing Mountain book review.  I have also been reading 2 other books for book reviews and one book for a book club.  As you can tell, I love to read!  My youngest daughter celebrated her 5th birthday and wanted me to bake her a cake.  It was a chocolate pudding cake with chocolate icing.  I also had the pleasure of helping out a friend by watching her 2 children for her on Friday afternoon.  we then had a wonderful supper together.  I love being able to help others out and to cook for people.

In our homeschool this week…
We actually got a lot accomplished this week.  My oldest is moving right along in her studies and enjoyed working on the workbook, The Case of the Missing Mountain.  My youngest son is working on 2 digit addition.  My youngest daughter is working on telling time.

Places we’re going and people we’re seeing…
While we didn’t go anywhere this week, we had friends to come over for a play date.

My favorite thing this week was…
Celebrating my daughter’s birthday was the highlight of the week.

What’s working/not working for us…
I will be looking for a math curriculum for my younger kids.  Previously, I have been using workbooks with them.

Homeschool questions/thoughts I have…
It is that time of the year that I start looking for new curriculum for the following  school year.  i am definitely thinking on making some changes for all 3 of my children next year.  My oldest will be in 8th grade, while the younger 2 will be in 2nd and 1st grade.  I have been looking at Tapestry of Grace as well as My Father’s World.  I know I still have plenty of time to prepare, but it will most likely take me several months to decide 100% of what we will use.

A photo, video, link, or quote to share…

I want to share a picture of my children on the day we celebrated  my daughter’s 5th birthday.  Since my oldest is 18, taking college classes and working part time, it has been hard getting pictures with all of my children together.  ðŸ™‚
