Multitude Monday- Blessings #256-265

Multitude Monday- Blessings #256-265

The blessings just keep flowing from our God above.  What a mighty and awesome God we serve.  Without God my life would be void and incomplete.  Thank you God for the many blessings you have given me.

Here are a few random things that I am so happy to have or be a part of.

256. warmer weather
257. sunshine
258. green grass
259. the creek that runs next to our house
260. wind
261. my husband singing for the Lord
262. the praise and worship team
263. associate pastor preaching the gospel
264. people who believe in me
265. Jesus
You can also take part in the Multitude Monday by visiting A Holy Experience.  What are you thankful for or what blessings have you received this week?  I would love to hear them!

Homeschool Mother’s Journal

Homeschool Mother’s Journal
The Homeschool Chick

In my life this week…
It was a rough week for me as I had a fibromyalgia flare-up.  The weather being rainy and cold did not help much.  Other than having to take my daughter to her lessons, I stayed at home.

In our homeschool this week…
Sarah has continued to read and study on the 1800’s.  Samuel and Claire studied about volcanoes and then we watched a documentary of Krakatoa.

Places we’re going and people we’re seeing…
On Friday, Samuel, Claire and Sarah had a play date with some wonderful friends.

My favorite thing this week was…
My hubby and I were able to have a nice late lunch when the kids went to their play date.

What’s working/not working for us…
The phonics and reading curriculum I bought for Samuel and Claire needs some tweaking for us to use it.  I will definitely look for something different next year.

Homeschool questions/thoughts I have…
I am definitely going to need to do some curriculum changes for next year.  I am looking for History for my soon to be 8th grader and Phonics/Reading/English/Spelling for Samuel and Claire.

Seven Things Meme

Seven Things Meme

This is a Seven Things Tag. I was tagged by Shawntele from Rambling with Grace. In this game of tag, I am supposed to tell you seven things that no one knows about me.

So here goes.

1. I took piano lessons for 2 years when I was younger.
2. I was saved at the age of 10.
3. I can play the trumpet.
4. I love to sing.
5. I used to sell Home Interiors, but now sell ThirtyOne products.
6. My first name is Gwendoyln.
7. I am the leader of a local homeschool group.

It took me a while to come up with 7 things, but I finally did! Not for sure if they are very interesting or not. Oh well. We can’t all be interesting, now can we! LOL
