Matthew 5:1-12
iFellowship
iFellowship Day is here again. I just love this day. It is a day that I have dedictaed to sharing my favorite scriptures or scriptures that have touched my heart throughout the past week. This week, I am sharing the Beatitudes. Nothing is more beautiful than hearing Jesus’ sweet words. Blessings to you all today.
Matthew 5

The Beatitudes

1 And seeing the multitudes, He went up on a mountain, and when He was seated His disciples came to Him.
2 Then He opened His mouth and taught them, saying:
3 “ Blessed are the poor in spirit,
For theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
4 Blessed are those who mourn,
For they shall be comforted.
5 Blessed are the meek,
For they shall inherit the earth.
6 Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness,
For they shall be filled.
7 Blessed are the merciful,
For they shall obtain mercy.
8 Blessed are the pure in heart,
For they shall see God.
9 Blessed are the peacemakers,
For they shall be called sons of God.
10 Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake,
For theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
11 “Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake.
12 Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.
I hope you will stop by Seeds of Faith and look at all the blogs that have linked up today. You just never know what blessings you might get.

An Amish Love – Book Review

An Amish Love – Book Review

I have just recently started reading Amish stories. I have tried in the past and just never really could get into the details of the stories. However, I have read three Beth Wiseman Amish stories and have fallen in love with her writing. So when the opportunity came to read another one of her books, I jumped on it.

Beth Wiseman’s story is part of a 3-n-1 Novella collection called An Amish Love. Her story, “Healing Hearts” is about a man named Naaman who left his wife and has now come back home after almost being gone a year.

Kelly Long’s book in this series is called, “A Marriage Of The Heart”. It is about a young lady named Abigail who is looking for a way out of her home, from under her father’s care. Joseph, the man she had hoped would take her away, is looking for a way in the community.

Kathleen Fuller’s book is called, “What The Heart Sees”. In this story, Elle Chupp has lost her sight in an accident and has learned to move on, while Chris has come back to try to make amends for leaving the Amish Community.

I was so glad that I had the chance to read these books. The authors did not let you down on the story lines. Each story drew you in, to where you felt like you were living in the community with them.
These three couple were having to learn to trust, have faith and learn to forgive. Definitely lessons that everyone has had to deal with some time in their life.
I would recommend this book to anyone who loves to read about the Amish and their way of life.

This book was provided to me by Booksneeze to review. The opinions I have written are my own.
