so thankful and blessed… #876-900

We have had a busy couple of weeks. While we sometimes may be too busy for God, he is never too busy for us. He keeps showering us with blessings over and over. I love taking the time to remember our blessings. My list continues with me being blessed by being able to stay home with our children homeschooling them.

876. being able to homeschool my kids. (I can’t say this enough, we are so blessed to be able to do this.)

877. the homeschool group I am part of.

878. used book sale hosted by our homeschool group.

879. the homeschool moms who took time out of their day to come help with the sale.

880. The great bargains I picked up for our homeschool journey at the book sale.

881. all the homeschool blogging friends I have come in contact with.

882. our church that fully supports us homeschooling our children.

883. a church who wants to spread the gospel.

884. people who are volunteering and who are helping with VBS preparations.

885. those who can’t help, donating money to help with VBS.

886. being able to take the kids to a local VBS in town.

887. the kids coming home excited from learning about Jesus.

888. the kids asking if they can go back to VBS.

889. seeing the kids sing and praise God!

890. park time with friends.

891. a much needed lazy Saturday.

892. rain for our garden.

893. our homeschool end of year picnic.

894. seeing all the kids having fun together at the picnic.

895. good food prepared, cooked and shared by one another.

896. new friends that were made at the cookout.

897. calls from family.

898. brothers who are taking care of my mom.

899. my daughter being asked to attend a citizenship conference by her 4-H leader.

900. a husband who works hard so that I can stay at home with our children.

so thankful and blessed.. #861- 875

What an amazing and busy week that was filled with so many blessings. Since I am late in posting this, I am going to get right to it.

861. The younger kids end of season ceremony.

862. The magician who talked with the kids about Jesus during the Upward Sports ceremony.

863. Amazing friends who watched my kids while I went on a short trip with my husband.

864. Not getting sick on my first plane ride!

865. Safe fight to Denver, CO.

866. A beautiful ride to the top of Mt. Evans.

867. Time spent alone with my husband.

868. Seeing buffalo, prairie dogs, mule deer, mountain goats and sheep. God’s creations are so beautiful!

869. Snow capped mountains.

870. Seeing friends we haven’t seen in 14 years and having dinner with them.

871. Safe flight back to our home in NC!

872. Seeing my beautiful children waiting for us when we got off the plane!

873. Getting love notes, hugs and kisses from my precious children who missed us!

874. Safe drive home from the airport.

875. A good nights sleep in my own bed.

We have so much to be thankful for during our lifetime. I don’t think we will ever be able to list everything that God has blessed us with. While some moments might even look bad to you, God can use those times to point out some good when you think all is lost.

James 1

¹² Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him. ¹³Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am being tempted by God,” for God cannot be tempted with evil, and he himself tempts no one. ¹⁴But each person is tempted when he is lured and enticed by his own desire. ¹⁵Then desirewhen it has conceived gives birth to sin, and sin when it is fully grown brings forth death.

¹⁶Do not be deceived, my beloved brothers. ¹⁷ Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change. ¹⁸Of his own will he brought us forth by the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures.

841. children being able to play in a Christian sports league.

842. coaches who pray and encourage the kids.

843. the hosting church for the Upwards Sports league

844. parents who yell encouragement to their children, instead of yelling wrongs.

845. listening to a devotional and prayer at every practice and game.

846. seeing my son’s face light up when he makes a basket!

847. seeing my daughter’s face light up when she completes a cheer.

848. a local church hosting a “Daughter’s of the King” club.

849. seeing how excited my daughter is about going to the club.

850. the older girls in the club taking my young daughter and leading her.

851. friends coming over to fellowship.

852. park days, play time and fellowship with other homeschoolers.

853. friends offering to help in a time of need.

854. friends taking the time to pray right then for you.

855. emails from friends saying they are praying for you.

856. being sick with food poisoning.

857. God speaking to my heart using food poisoning to slow me down to listen.

858. a washing machine that is broken yet still works enough for me to keep caught up on laundry.

859. a disagreement that brings attention to my disobedience to God.

860. a forgiving, loving and merciful God.

the counting continues..#773-802

The wonderful thing about God is that He is with you no matter what. He never leaves you for a moment. Always there lifting you up in His precious arms.

Deuteronomy 31:6

⁶Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the Lord your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you.”

773. Hubby being able to take sick leave from work.

774. Being able to snuggle with the kids while they were sick. Now that they are older, they do not let mommy hold them much.

775. Being able to hang out with homeschoolers for a Valentine’s Day party BEFORE the kids got sick.

776. Myself, being well enough to take care of the rest of family while they were sick.

777. Seeing my daughter up on stage in the musical “Anything Goes.”

778. Thankful for God getting my attention. It hurts being showed your faults, but I know God has plans and they can’t happen if I am not following Him with my whole heart.

779. For the friends who drop what they are doing and pray for you when you call, text or email them.

800. For those same friends to check up on you to make sure you are okay and to ask if there is anything else they can do for you.

801. Hearing my children say they are excited about school and what they are learning.

802. Seeing the kids excited about new curriculum and books that arrive my mail.

giving thanks.. #651-660

Ephesians 1:15-23

¹⁵ For this reason, because I have heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love toward all the saints,

¹⁶ I do not cease to give thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers, ¹⁷ that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of him,

¹⁸ having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the hope to which he has called you, what are the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints,

¹⁹ and what is the immeasurable greatness of his power toward us who believe, according to the working of his great might

²⁰ that he worked in Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly places,

²¹ far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and above every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come. ²² And he put all things under his feet and gave him ashead over all things to the church,

651. my daughter’s last visit to the dentist until she needs a cleaning in July.

652. our dentist helping my daughter feel calm and relaxed.

653. The friendship of the dentist working with us on payments.

654. so thankful for the sweet phone calls from online friends.

655. thankful for the online friends who pray and will study the bible with me.

656. those precious few minutes of alone time with hubby.

657. lazy Saturdays with the family.

658. all the rain that we have been getting.

659. the one afternoon of sunshine, between rain showers.

660. Ephesians Bible study at church and online. Amazing how God works. God must have something in store for me, for there to be two opportunities for a bible study on Ephesians.
