Weekly Weigh-In

I seem to be like a bouncing yo-yo!! I have gained 2 lbs this past week. Not for sure what went wrong. Even though I didn’t write down everything I ate, I still watched what I ate, limiting any “junk” food. I definitely drank more water this past week. While I didn’t necessarily have an exercise routine this past week, I did walk more and definitely was more active.

So, my goals for this next week will be to walk/exercise at least 3 times for 30 minutes or more. Drink my water and to eat a healthy balanced diet.

I also won’t be as busy with the kids’ activities this week, so hopefully I can devote slightly more time to exercising.

Praying you all had a wonderful week!

May God bless each and everyone one of you!!

Friendship for Grown-Ups

Friendships for Grown-Ups: What I Missed & Learned Along the Way by Lisa Whelchel

I received this book from Book Sneeze to review.

This book is about how Lisa missed a lot growing up and had a hard time making close friends. She was very honest and open from the beginning of the book. Lisa shares what she learned from failed friendships and how she learned to maintain the close friendships she has today.

She also gives advice, by going through situations herself, on how she learned to be a better friend to others.

The book is a very easy read and I love how she includes scripture that helped her see the problems she was having. It will definitely help those who have struggled to make friends as well as those who have struggled to keep friends.

Park Day With Homeschool Group

Park Day With Homeschool Group

What a blast we had! We met at the Little Tennessee Greenway Park in Franklin around 10am. The kids immediately ran to the playground while someone found out how to turn the water on. Once the water was on, that is where all the kids headed.

What a wonderful fellowship time with the homeschool support group! we had a wonderful time visiting with one another talking about curriculum’s for the up coming year. Then we sat down together for a great picnic lunch.

Who says that homeschool kids don’t socialize!! LOL!
